Keet van Zyl, Investment Analyst
Keet joined HBD as an Investment Analyst in early 2007. He is mainly responsible for finding and evaluating potential deals for HBD Fund2 and leveraging the financial performance of HBD's investments.
Keet is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from the University of Stellenbosch. He is currently studying an MBA through Deakin University (Australia).
He specialised in strategic project planning as a Financial Analyst at Procter & Gamble - a multinational FMCG Company and was responsible for structuring, funding and monitoring various private equity funds in the Southern African region for a US$100m regional investment fund. Keet also co-founded a niche private equity investment holding company and played an integral role in the establishment of Investec Private Bank's Growth & Acquisition Finance division in Cape Town.
Keet is fascinated by the bubble in Champagne and has a passion for water-skiing. In 2005 he became the first "Extreme Accounting" world champion by injecting the adrenaline rush of accounting into the everyday routine of extreme sports.
