Paul Bruwer, Investment Analyst
Paul joined HBD in March 2008 as an investment analyst. He is responsible for finding and evaluating potential deals for HBD Fund2 and leveraging the financial performance of HBD's investments.
Paul holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting with specialisation in Management Accounting and is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant.
His career started at Nedbank Corporate, where he was part of the sales team growing the business and meeting clients' business needs. In 2005 he joined Distell, South Africa's leading producer and marketer of fine wines, spirits and ready-to-drinks (RTDs). He was appointed as a Financial Analyst and was responsible for the export profitability of all Distell's export markets. He developed numerous financial analysis models for different markets and improved the pricing decision process for all international markets. He played an integral part in new business development projects, especially in the African markets and also developed royalty models for ventures in these markets.
Paul is married to the wife of his dreams, Nadine and they both love traveling abroad. He enjoys the ocean, especially riding waves and mountain biking.
